Sabrina Smilor

Owner; Trainer/Behavior Consultant

Known as "The Puppy Whisperer," Sabrina founded NamaStay Dog Training in 2020 after discovering her calling: helping dogs and their humans build lasting bonds through effective communication and positive reinforcement.

"I am passionate about transforming relationships between pups and their owners into ones rooted in trust, understanding, and mutual respect. My mission is to teach others how to have the best possible life with their pup by empowering them with the tools and knowledge to address behaviors, nurture good habits, and create a harmonious home where both dogs and humans thrive."

Abi Strawn

Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer

My passion for working with dogs started long before I ever knew it could become a career. When I was 10 years old, I taught our two family dogs to jump through a hula hoop. At the time, I was not focused about dog training, behavior, or even learning theory. I was just a kid who loved dogs and thought it was incredibly cool that I could communicate with them and teach them something new.

Eventually, my passion for dog training grew and ultimately led me to enroll in Animal Behavior College where I learned a lot about dogs, behavior, and learning theory. My approach to dog training is through positive reinforcement techniques as well as force-free.

I am a firm believer in understanding the reason WHY behind a behavior.

If you want to understand a dog, you have to stop thinking like YOU and start thinking like the dog
